The Avengers Assemble, if you didn’t know already, is the story of how Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow come together to form The Avengers under the leadership of Nick Fury, to save the planet from the evil Asgardian Loki and his alien army.

With such a large cast of characters The Avengers could have been a superhero sized mess, but luckily for us, it isn’t. Joss Whedon does an amazing job tackling the tough task of bringing characters, each capable of carrying their own movies, together and actually making them gel. We actually believe in this team and its great for the inner fan-boy to finally see the likes of Cap and Iron Man finally fight alongisde each other. The character interaction is great and makes for some awesome dialogue and many quotable moments. It could have been easy to neglect some heroes in favour of others but each character gets a fair share of screen time and definitely makes this feel like an Avengers movie rather than say an Captain America movie with cameos.

The standout stars of the film for me have to be Iron Man and Hulk. Both characters had some of the most memorable and funniest scenes of the entire movie. I don’t think there is another man on the planet better suited for the sharp tongued Tony Stark than Robert Downey Jr. Hulk was a real surprise for me and probably ended up being my highlight of the movie. With Hulk having the, lets say, “less successful” entries to the big screen of the lot it was a nice surprise to see the not so jolly green giant used so well. Side note, if/when they make a new Hulk movie Mark Ruffalo should be the man for job, he’s undoubtedly the most convincing Bruce Banner yet.

The wait was worth it guys, and with a nice surprise after the credits i’d say The Avengers was a “win” for us all.

Lets face it Sony have totally bypassed trying to make this look original, everything about this game shouts Smash Bros. On a quick glance you could even be forgiven for mistaking it for a Smash Bros game, but with that said i’m really interested to see how this title develops. With so many potential characters like Jak, Daxter, Ratchet, Clank, Sly, Drake or even LBP’s Sackboy this game looks like its definitely one to watch.

So there we have it, 100% proof cosplaying is awesome. Yeah i know Jessica Nigri is there three times and what!?

Sounds good right, the price? Well ¥100,000 or roughly £780 pounds. On top of that it currently can only be bought from Capcom’s Japanese eStore and is limited to 5000 units.

So if your a big enough Resi fan you might wanna start thinking about how exactly your gonna get your hands on one. That’s quite a bit of saving you’ll need to do, so i’d get a move on.
